OUR MISSION
Gather and Scatter's Children's Ministry exists to bring children together and partner with parents so that your child can come to know Jesus and serve others. We want to meet in community, grow spiritually, and lead others to Christ. We believe parents play a major role in a child's discipleship development and we want to support, equip, and encourage them to succeed.
Our team is committed to providing a fun, interactive, and creative environment tailored for children that guides them to learn God's promises and stories, know Jesus better, grow spiritually, and build meaningful relationships with other children and adults. We also want to provide opportunities for our children to seek ways they can serve others.
Our first priority is the safety of every child!
Every volunteer goes through a background check.
Volunteers are required to attend an orientation session and training.
We check-in and check-out each child.
Documentation is collected on each child's specific needs, allergies, parent information, etc.
FIRST VISIT
When you arrive at Gather and Scatter our staff and Door Holders will greet you in the parking lot and at the front door. Our Door Holders will direct you and your child or children to the "Fruit Troop Check-In" station. We will then take down both you, the parent, and your child's basic information, allergies, special needs, and any other pertinent information.
Once checked in, our Door Holders will guide your child or children to the Children's Church classroom. Parents are able to return to the main lobby where you can find coffee, light refreshments, and other church members. If any issue arises during the service you will be notified through a text message.
Children's Church: 4:00pm to 5:15pm
Children's Church is offered during the worship service for children ages 0 to 14 years of age. We gather together to worship through song and gospel-centered teaching. The children participate in crafts, puppets, games, and various other activities to build their relationship with others, parents, and Jesus. Our Children's Church program is broken down in to the following age groups:
Joy Group: 0 year old to 4 years old
Peace Group: 5 years old to 9 years old
Patience Group: 10 years old to 14 years old
High School Students: above the age of 14 years
If your child is over the age of 14 years, we would love for them to join us in serving in an area of their interest. We plug older students into all areas of the church to grow their desire to serve, build their relationships with others, and connect them with Jesus.
