We believe everything we have is a gift from God. We are invited to become more like Him as we give time, talents, and our tithes and offering. As a church family we worship the God who gives most, while trusting Him to take each of our gifts and turn them into impactful ministry to serve our God, our church, our community, and our world.

A Few Notes About Giving

  • Please keep in mind we are charged a 3% fee on debit and credit card transactions. As much as possible, please give using a link to your bank account.

  • Please make checks payable to Gather & Scatter Adventist Church.

  • All monetary gifts are tax-deductible. Those who give online or write checks will receive a year-end tax deductible receipt from Gather and Scatter.

Tithe is a Biblical term that means one freely gives one-tenth of one's income annually to the Lord through His church. All tithing goes directly to the Seventh-day Adventist Conference. Tithe is then used by the conference to provide for pastor's salaries throughout Oregon, support relief organizations, spread the word, radio broadcasting, and many other tasks. 

Offering is the Biblical description of gifts that are over and above the tithe. Offering can be designated on our envelopes to church budget (ministries, rent, subsidy, etc.), the conference (education, evangelism, etc.), or to the world budget (community outreach partners). Loose offering, offering not in an envelope, stays here at Gather and Scatter on the first and third Saturday of every month.  For the second, fourth, and sometimes fifth Saturday of the month loose offering goes towards one of the following: world budget, local conference advance, NAD evangelism, union designated, and women's ministries.
